I switched to Firefox a few years ago when Google said they were gonna get rid of ad blockers on Chrome. But FireFox has been getting slower and some websites have trouble with it so I switched to Opera.
Recenlty switched from Chrome to Brave and so far it seems really fast and safe. With crypto becoming mainstream and being adopted by large corporations globally should only strengthen Brave.
Oops, you failed to include the Edge browser. I started using Edge about 7 months ago, and I really like it. I also used it in Linux Mint and again…great browser.
My default browser as a Linux user is Microsoft Edge. I switched to Edge when it was released for Linux and I never looked back. I used Firefox for years but it became too outdated and Chrome is a spyware. Edge was the natural choice. I didn't like brave and all the other browsers look amateur to me.

Vivaldi does sync extensions.
Vivaldi is not based on Opera. Its based on Chromium. But its built by some of the old team that built old Opera before it went crap.
Chrome is preinestalled and Firefox not. People just use what they have, unfortunately
There is no best browser. It depends on what features you value and in what priority. And that is subjective.
