  1. As a Linux user, this highly pisses me off…the code of conduct board needs to go kick rocks, they are ruining Linux, legit contributors to important apps or functions or pieces of code being banned from the Linux Kernel, nothing good will come from it…

  2. If the Linux kernel turns out to be a social project, more then a technological endaevour, I will be, unsurprisedly disappointed. If a former loudmouth like Linus can be brought to heel, I guess all is lost. Improvement is gradual, painstakingly supervised and difficult on the official kernel. That's not a CoC issue, that's just good governance. Now, non-technological issues appear to be as important, if not more, than technical merit (or de-merit).

"Don't be a dick" should be obvious, but I also appreciate vehement discussions on controversial topics.

Why not fork your own, and see if it does better?

  3. "first of all it's nothing personal, i have no axe to grind."
proceeds to list personal grievances against the person in question

bro just can't help himself can he

  4. I don't think this compares to Linus' rants because Linus had technical points but poor language. This Genius was introducing a denial of service bug that would likely get a CVE. If the fella had bothered to read the design rules he'd know why ints are always returned (type safety). Just found your channel, kia ora from New Zealand!
