Asus Nuc 14 Pro Plus – The Ultimate Mini-PC With One Major Issue

===========
To be honest, until recently I was almost certain that there was no real competition to Apple’s Mac Mini in the small computer arena, especially in terms of performance. And when I first encountered the NUC concept when we reviewed the Asus Nuc 14 Pro, I was convinced of the complete opposite. So much power in such a small form factor that you can literally put it in your pocket made me realise how little attention the NUC concept has received compared to what it deserves. With the Nuc having recently passed from Intel to Asus, we’ll leave the story to the new marketing team, and as reviewers it’s up to us to tell you what these computers can actually do, so today we have the Asus Nuc 14 Pro Plus, which is, shall we say, a more advanced version of the standard 14 Pro NUC. #nuc14proplus #nuc14pro+ #nuc14pro

  1. The second that he said (ah-suss) instead of the correct (ah-soose) I knew I was dealing with a moron. NUCK not NOOK .. This is just another shill folks, There's good reviewers out there that actually understand what they're talking about . I suggest Robtech but there are other good ones. This one is a waste of your time. If you want to get the manufacturers selling points, just go to the manufacturers site. Thumbs down, don't recommend, Adios.

  2. Just be warned that while ASUS feels entitled to charge top dollar, their motherboards can break just after going out of warranty and should you expect to be able to ship it back to ASUS and just pay for the diagnosis and motherboard repair, that ain’t happening. They’ll charge you for the diagnosis just to tell you that the motherboard is broken, and quote you a $1000 charge to replace the motherboard. RIP OFF.

  3. No discrete Nvidia GPU, big drawback. Intel ARC is still way behind. Also, I'm sure this can be used as a heater in winter. And the price is insane. Thanks, I'll pass on this.

  4. This Asus Nuc 14 costs $800 bare bones with this i9 185H cpu. 96GB of DDR5 5600Mz ram from cricual costs $300 and a high end 1TB-4TB M.2 SSD such as the samsung 990 pro can range from $80 – $300.

    Fully decked out this will cost you $1400.
    You can buy these parts online at B&H and assemble it yourself since its literally a tooless assmbly

    But your average person doesnt need that.

    The 155H or 125H black version is enough and that sells for $650 and $500 bare bones. 32GB of ddr5 5600mhz ram sells for $80 and a 1TB reasonable mid range M.2 ssd sells for $80.

    $800 or $660 for that system is all anyone needs. Dont buy from resellers and buy directly from licenced vendors

  5. if u cant even be bothered to properly voice a video u dont deserve views or money for it…. the pronunciation on some words is different every time its said

  6. if you really want to beat the Mac mini:
    – (2x) 10Gb ethernet
    – (1x) Oculink
    – expandable memory (96 GB)

    And maybe because of the 13th/14th gen Intel problems, make an AMD alternatieve
