Such a chill video. Reminds me why I love mining!
In 3.13 I routinely mined quant from legrange pints. I would usually get $250k in 20-45 min
My god, this is the complete and total night-and-day opposite of my experience with SC. How do you have it so smooth??
I've done it all including the asteroid belt but lately I give up quick when nodes just don't fully render so they can be mined. Hope they fix the still bugged mining path.
P.S. Owned my Prospector since they were first released back in 2016.
I wish mining and refining made more then salvage
No new huds? Old footage?
Really enjoy these simple, calm gameplay Videos. Would not mind hours long versions of them.
Hey Farrister,
What modules do you run?
I've been mining around the refineries for years. Either there or the halo. Don't really know why but I just prefer that to planetary mining.
U should do a fingersnap animation and just skip the qt it might help then u just have to clip the video instead of speeding it up? Not sure if itβs helpful advice
Hey Farrister, no need to change your videos speeds they are always well planned and thought out, Iβve always enjoyed watching your reviews of ships, highlighting locations and much much more. Keep up the great work you are probably the one content creator, I watch without loosing interest and patience π
What laser are you using?
They need to bump up mining to make it more lucrative. I can do 450K prox in my Vulture, per run, and not have to wait hours for any refinery.
How do you scan like that? My prospector won't scan at all :S
Love how the advocacy keep checking up on you. Makes one feel safe. π
I only refine the Tier 1 stuff, I HATE moving cargo boxes. Complete waste of time and I would rather use NPC crew for that…
I've managed to mine 2 million worth of ore from places like this over the weekend in a mole.
Crafting is gonna give mining more variety, finally wonβt skip out on cheaper metals like iron and actually go look for a ton of it.
"We're just ascending through the beautiful clouds …"
"Give me your money"
"and now im being robbed"
I think I'll start playing again once the resets stop being a thing so my progress is not ruined and for now will be playing something else like Ark or 7 DAY TO DIE. SC looks much better since the last time I've played it in 2022 but I am not jumping in just yet
You can buy a Taurus after only 60h of grinding.
I can't speak to the speeding up, because I just listen to virtually all the YouTube I "watch".
However, you are one of the few people who I would just sit listening to. Your voice and music choice are just chef's kiss perfect for a relaxing session. Works great for the long drives I take!
Sad to see the poor state of the mining loop :/ all that power work, travelling, effort and waiting for just 150k.
I agree don't speed up. I enjoy the relaxing style of your videos.
Be interesting to see when crafting enters the PU how much of the materials that we would usually discard will be useful for construction, for particular structures, ships, armour and weapons.
Your video's are always a refreshing change from the perpetual drama and toxicity surrounding this project. Thank you SO much for not following the clickbait meta, and providing us with chilled, enjoyable Star Citizen content.
Mining QoL has improved in the latest patch btw. Scanning is much faster, which is huuuge, and you can mine in nav mode.
I absolutely love prospector with the new MFD and Huds
I'm not sure the inert bug is a bug as maybe they want you to look harder to find stuff that near the station.
taranite is top 5 you should grab it x3 bexalite, gold ,taranite, occasionally laranite is usually what i grab ., also mole bags upgrade :3
they need to fix the TDD cuz the whole selling panel is bugged out , also half minables arent interactable
Good video, but I hate mining since EVE Online. But mining got a LOT better, after I got a Russian auto-miner!
It was so smart, it could avoid other ships, pause mining if things looked fishy, and if necessary, it could dock at a station and sit around for a preset time to become inactive.
Mining, like hauling is beyond boring. Most freight hauler pilots suffered from depression. Keeping their mind off what keeps them depressed helps, kinda like Aspirin. I had a bunch of friends who hauled their life away.
Me? I could sleep for the night and still have a pile of ore, do support my more interesting activities.
Man great vid as always, you have a fantastic voice for narration. I've been a backer for 3 years now and I've seen a lot of progress already despite plenty of frustrations. Helps to just go play something else for a while during times like these, give them some time to get things sorted. Keep documenting your star citizen journey, I'll keep watching! π€©
4.0 will come someday for SC. What a joke. They have been saying for years that it's coming the following year, like for the last five years, as 42 was to be out like seven years ago. Remember when they announced the game in 2012 and said it would be out in 2014? And every year, when it comes close to that time, they add another two years, lol. Fools love being milked. Only 5-star systems when they promised over 100, and the game was to be completed within 4-7 years from the start date, and it's been almost 13 years now and a billion dollars later.
Hey, mining is working again. Maybe I should bother to log back in after the new launcher ate my keybinds.
Miss the old hud already
I actually am going to speak up as someone who'd be happy to watch walking around/tram trips not sped up π I'm still fairly new to Star Citizen and most of the appeal for me is how immersive it looks. Physically going to places, walking around the ships etc. is a huge part of that. I get it for quantum jump or flying through empty space and such but I'm happy watching just walking around footage still
I really like putting this up on the other monitor while I'm getting work done. Lovely voice for a narrative and good to see the loops are we progress in patches.
great guides
totally get the feeling you were talking about. I got the game with a 300I package before they even added the hanger module. Going from nothing, to being able to just stare at my ship to being able to fly it in arena to logging into port Ol for the first time. To where we are today, you can feel and see the work they put in…now having said that….i do wish that was like over the cross of 5 or 6 years of my life instead of a decade now….
you were able to get into a working server???? you lucky man
That's not 3:24 display UI
How did you get to the old display UI
Great vid as always, man! Why didnβt you x12 the 9hr refinery job?? π
Iβm still waiting for them to properly physicalize raw ore. Itβs a big annoyance to have to head straight to the refinery to drop the raw ore for refining, it would be better both as a solo player to dump the raw ore at the nearest station, and as a multi-ship crew to transfer the raw ore so someone else can transport it while you mine the next load.
