AMD is getting SCREWED by Microsoft – Windows 10 vs 11 (Part 1)
Why are we seeing a Ryzen 7 7700X matching or beating a Ryzen 7 9700X? Or a 7800X3D sometimes coming out WAY faster than the latest 9000 series CPU? Well the answer I believe lies in Windows itself, more specifically the scheduler on Windows 11. Though let’s test this vs Windows 10 over a series of benchmarks in a two part series.

08:06 This clearly affects Ryzen 9000 more than any other CPU in the benchmarks here today.
10:44 Core Isolation, should you use it?

Thanks for watching yall, part 2 coming soon.
FYI we are using infinity fabric 2067MHZ no div, and 6200MHZ CL28 for these tests, so gains could be larger than 6200 cl36 memory on a 2000 infinity fabric for example.
жесть ну дела… помню собрал челу на райзен 7600 и поставил вин 10, думал потом мож обновит, но теперь ясно, после десятой, только линукс если конечно жиды из майкрософт не сделают норм альтернативу
Isn't this a matter of hardware TPM and virtual TPM? If so, then it's AMD's fault for not having hardware TPM.
I use windows-defender-remover (github) to remove windows security. After a year I don't have any problem.
Ngl, windows vista was better than 11 at least you had a proper start menu and no ads 🤣
does this setting(core isolation) also affects ryzen 8000 series? I have ryzen 7 8700G, does it help if I turn this feature off?
Are AM4 CPU’s also affected by the performance issues in Win11? Cause I‘m using a 5700x3D and Win11. If I can have better performance with win10, I‘ll probably switch back.
People who never left windows 10 be like:

It's funny when everyone try to bash AMD when Ryzen 9000 is released due to windows benchmark result.😂
I stayed cool and watched Phoronix result instead.
I've always thought for a while that the performance on Linux compared to windows is unbelievable. Completely different scenarios I understand that. However if the OS is slowing you down deliberately we have problems for sure.
All these issues and startup lag etc. are making want to go back to 10 at this point. If I open anything that pull systems information i.e temps and frequencies it lags. I never had this issue on 10. Once the PC is up and running and after those programs are open everything is fine. But this shouldn't be an issue to begin with. Running 7950x3d, 4090, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s on an ASUS x670E Hero.
is this the same with something as old as a 5 series? 5900hx to be exact?
I don’t remember videos calling out the studios, when there poorly optimized games set the standard for VRAM requirement to basically double nearly every year for the last 3 years. I assume it’s bc worked out convenient for AMD’s GPU & marketing budget, which is why every big Tech YTers has only screamed about why GPUs need X amount of VRAM for the last 3-4 years, instead of how game devs are causing a problems for ___ GPU manufacturers. All these AMD checks/free products to review must be really nice.
Windows 11 has been the single worst OS I have ever used.
I like these fact finding videos. I would like you to continue your rambling, so that you can tell us where it's all going from here. Because we are not getting it from anyone else !
imagine using anything except w11 24h2
Should we disable CI from windows or from bios via VBS setting? What is the difference if VBS is on in BIOS and CI is off in windows compared to VBS off in bios (it's automatically off in windows then).
No lies told, Windows 11 has been a buggy disaster on my 7959x3D.
turn off windows update, problem solved
The future:
AMD OS 💀
I’ll go turn off CI thx
I had win 11 when it first went into beta and it was just so bad and inconvenient to use that I went back to windows 10 within a month. Linux is just not an option for a primary gaming machine imo. Too many games aren't playable on it due to anti cheats and if you try to get around that limitation you'll be met with bans. I'll be sticking my Win 10 LTSC install for a long time. Hopefully by the time that's not supported Linux will be a viable option for all games. Even windows 10 is still a buggy mess and has been since launch. Insane how nothing "just works" on windows either 😭.
Ty…
Windows is shit run Linux. And it's shit for many other reasons in addition to this video.
core isolation doesnt pop up for me
How about not feeding M$ with your data and switching to Linux?
Can you do win10 iot ltsc 21h2 vs windows 10 pro vs windows 11 pro. All updated from settings.
Never had this issue on Linux 😊
does this affect fortnite?
People say win 11 is bad as vista.Vista was awesome OS but you needed strong rig to run it properly. When crysis was THE game you needed vista for dx10.I builded my rig around crysis.I was having core 2 quad Q6600 (oced to the max) wich was at that time strongest cpu on the market outside of extreme edition cpu.DDR3 has just become new standard for ram.I was having 16 GB of DDR3 ram..OC edition G-Skill in metal casing, oced to the max.People was runing from 512 MB to 2 GB of DDR2 ram on rigs.4GB of DDR2 was considered high amount of ram. 8 GB of DDR2 ram was considered to be extremly high amount of ram and my rig had 16 GB of DDR3 ram wich was insane amount at that time, especially for DDR3. G-force 9800XT+ was strongest card on market and i had 2 of those in SLI.Vista worked flawlessly on my pc.Best OS expirience ever.Swiched to win7 only when support for vista stoped.
👌👌👌👌👌
‼️That's because Indian's are now programming for Microsoft. Vote Trump, switch to Linux ᵒʳ ᵐᵃᶜ.
24H1 or 24H2 fixes all of this, you'll see a BIG bump in performance
Win 10 is still very stable , and good just use the LTSC version ,its ad free and very oight weight
Windows 10 was perfect. Then we got fucked.
It doesn't affect Zen 3. It says "not available" when searching for core isolation. My 5800X3D is safe I guess. I just had to do a bios update to fix the Zen-bleed crap. Oh well, the CPU didn't die. I can shut up and count my blessings I guess.
One more reason to skip Windows 11 and just keep 10.
Or just use win 11 education and it has no bloatware and runs buttery smooth. And ofc core isolation off.
Intel when their E-cores e-xplode
Still on 10. Will eventually give linux a go again (note been using linux on my work lappy and servers for years, just not for gaming yet…)
Imo windows 7 is the best os MS ever released.
AMD have been getting bad software support in Windows for years now. One reason Bulldozer got such a bad rep was that Windows was poorly optimized for multi core systems at that time.
Just a tip. On the graph screens, group results by GPU instead of windows build. its way better to see the different results you can get on a gpu with different windows builds
Wasnt Windows Vista like Beta of Windows 7 so like a Milestone in my eyes i dont know really, i was a kid back then haha. I mean didnt had it more features or am i just too young xD
Well gonna use Windows 10 until it isn't possible anymore even after 2025, if not Microsoft coming out with W11 good or a new Windows!
if only i could game on linux…
I installed windows enterprise, no bloatware at all, i love it
Great now I have to test this for my self
