Alpine Linux 3.18

Alpine Linux 3.18 was released on May 9, 2023. It has some nice new features including an experimental headless install using tiny cloud. The release also updates the linux kernel to the latest 6.1 lts, as well as many package and tool updates. I made a big mistake during the installation of the desktop environment, because I did not follow the installation guide and ended up in a condition, I had to manually correct. It always pays to RTFM before pointing fingers and yelling BUG.

And oh yes, the artwork today, I generated using AI to create an oil painting (like) image of snow covered mountains. Sometimes the imagery that AI generates is kind of hilarious and sometimes it down right amazing…but the old adage “GIGO applies here (Garbage In; Garbage Out). You do have to take care with the parameters you use to generate it.
