Alan Wake is the new Crysys to run. But does it run linux? Well yes it seems.
5950x / 6900xt, mesa amd drivers, arch linux. FSR2 does a good job boosting fps, but I think Medium native res could be better from a visual perspective, what do you think?
–Got this off Reddit, I used Lutris to install, from there it is easy to use winetricks…
For the game to work you need to check if you have d3dcompiler_43 and d3dcompiler_47 installed in winetricks.
-when you open winetricks, you select default wineprefix
-install dll or component
-and search for above 2
You also need VCRedist (or some component of it) – download it from Microsoft website here (both x86 and x64): link
Install it with clicking “Run EXE on Prefix” in the game settings in Heroic Games Launcher
**note there are some graphical mesh shader issues, will be fixed in the coming days in mesa-git.
