  1. Happy Thanksgiving Day, Doc!๐ŸฆƒI can't believe it's MINNIE'S FIRST PARADE!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿค—๐ŸŽ‰I thought of YOU๐Ÿ˜‚โ˜•๏ธClassical conditioning!๐Ÿ๐Ÿชค๐Ÿญ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคฉ

  2. 2:30:20 "child gets conditioned and develops ADHD" – Dear sir, this point is false, a very popular myth that is not even wrong. Why? Because ADHD is inherited genetically. There are at least few thousands genes that were identified so far.

  3. Professor Vaknin, can you make more videos about machiavellianism? Are people high on the Dark triad actually considered mentally healthy? Are they just smart, cunning and know how to achieve favourable outcomes from the environment? What about narcissistic borderlines? When/if they heal from their borderline condition do they keep their narcissistic traits but wouldnโ€™t be full blown narcissists?
What about people who believe they have a different mental condition every day? For example, one day I believe I have borderline, the next day psychopathy, the following day adhd, ocd, Cptsd, avoidant, schizoid, Aspergerโ€™s.. I would have traits from all. Also, what about the connection between human physiology, biology and mental health. Hormones are very crucial especially for women, they change on a daily basis and women experience huge hormonal events throughout their lives. In my experience once I have worked on and fixed my hormonal issues my mental health problems have lessened in severity. Hormones and also nutritional deficiencies and the overall unhealthy environment we all find ourselves in.
Thank you for your work, and no, we arenโ€™t addicted to your videos (maybe a little).

  4. I would hope that those that tested autistic kids took into account the fact that the autistic kids KNEW that they hadn't broken the toy and were being "played".
Si dudnt fell embarrassed or guilty.
    Just duped.
And therefore withdrew from a more powerful adult.

  5. Stick with this folks.
It's long. So take it in bites.
But it really DOES go into detail about how outer behaviour can look the same and yet have very different motivations and etiology.

As a very late in life diagnosed aspergers – I can relate to some of the behaviours.
I'm very sceptical about not having empathy but appreciate that Dr Sam is going with the research.
That means, as always, he is not letting personal bias get in the way.

  6. Iโ€™ve been diagnosed with autistic and complex PTSD. Prior to my ASD diagnosis it was suggested I had BPDโ€ฆ I certainly have traits.
And I was raised my two very covert narcissistic, emotionally neglectful parents (not diagnosing them, just describing their behaviour)..
Itโ€™s hard to separate my CPTSD and ASD, impossible in fact.
This is the best discussion Iโ€™ve heard about the differences between the diagnoses.
    Thank you ๐Ÿ™

  7. 37:34 Absolutely very informative. Could it be that "shared fantasy" is the reason why narcissistic and borderline marriages are so common? If so, can you elaborate on this "shared fantasy" topic?

  8. I tried search feature, but canโ€™t seem to find analysis of trauma/cptsd and mood versus overlap of personality disorder and or dysregulation. Iโ€™m also trying to understand emotional manipulation of covert narc and their ability to mimic- and some appear to be deeply empathic and academy award winning actors.
