Stilfontein mine | Meshack Mbangula weighs in on suspected illegal miners



Police in the North West say 14 of the suspected illegal miners who were arrested in Stilfontein in the past few weeks are minors. 13 are from Mozambique and the others are from Zimbabwe.

  1. What shocking words coming from this man.saying poverty drove them into the mine to mine illegally.
    In the first place they are undocumented foreign nationals.They have no rights to be be here.Ilkegal mining is not the solution to uneployment and poverty.

  2. Why isn't there anyone going to court to apply for the permission to go underground to rescue the zama zamas themselves? Everyday we hear a new voice whom most sound like they are beneficiaries and trying all by means to protect their interests. where was this one all along? Suspicious

  3. Did the parents report their children as missing in their respective Countries or they themselves allowed them to be recruited by illegal mining kingpins?, Are the parents or relatives involved in child trafficking.

  4. Police go and arrest those so called community leaders they know what's happening there its clearly human trafficking arrest those leaders cause those were off duty zama zamas who knows that down there young girls are kept down there against their own will being raped there
