When she’s says “their spirits were gone from their bodies” I don’t think she means they’re already deceased when those things were done to them, she means they were zombies… it makes me feel sick to hear her say these horrendous things to her own child

Tricia said exactly why I am not going now. I wanted to go to hear some stories about JJ and Tylee and Tammy. However, if Lori is representing herself I don't know how I would be able to contain myself.

@Meghan so nice to hear you. And yes this is so dangerous, all these "righteous" groups will end up in tragic events…God doesn't work like this. There's only one God and He's in heaven. Just do good, be helpful, loving, empathetic, be generous, respect and let live. There's the only way.

Every time I hear it again I am angered and stunned by the fake story about Lori Vallow Daybell's children's deaths – and that she blames already-murdered Tylee for JJ is bonkers. To protect Tylee?? I think Dr. John Matthias' hypothesis that Lori also had Munchausen's by Proxy (can't remember the correct clinical name for it) with Tylee is a credible one. So if Lori harms Tylee then is her 'savior' – well what happened is the ultimate, I suppose, given her deluded belief Tylee is now free of Z and happily ever after in an imagined afterlife. Well how psychologically convenient is that? The stark biophysical reality is that we most probably get this one life, not to be wasted. Its finiteness is a big part of its value IMO. But Lori cannot accept that – well most religious people can't, honestly but they don't go around unaliving people to expedite their trip to outer space.
Lori's story about Tylee wanting to be cremated turns my stomach and breaks my heart, when I am not screaming at my phone during the clip. As Colby challenges her, that was not cremation, it was desecration.
But to the point about the child murder, this goes right back to the super dangerous and utterly false beliefs in Visions of Glory about possession, dark spirits, Z's ('I never wrote zombie' – more Lori deception with half-truths that are obvious cover stories).
If she was tired of parenting and wanted to run away – a fantasy probably all totally normal parents have now and then – and could then rationalize the kids as no longer themselves but zombies, well they are completely othered and fair game – even heroic in their twisted worldviews. We all need to recognize we are primarily emotional apes that tell stories and rationize our behaviors. Actual rationality and reality testing is taxing & metabolically costly brain work, we all take shortcuts. This is why mental health, education, and telling true stories, not living in dangerous fantasies – is so important. On this age of truthiness, bots and trolls, and information warfare, we are all susceptible. Unstable narcissists with trauma are some of the most dangerous among us – they have a bizarre charisma if they are successful that repulses and confuses non-followers.
Megan's analysis of Lori's manipulation was spot on and applies to many other people around us. To our destruction.
There are plenty of real things on this planet to be scared of – fear is yes, a good motivator. But people need to reality-test both the fear, the claimed causes, and the proposed solutions. There are so many legit, trustworthy sources out there. And a lot of manipulation, lies, and fake news.
The good news that Megan's channel helps explain is that we as humans are highly adaptable and can change and heal and do better. We are process, we are becoming, we are uniquely social apes able to work together with non-related stangers. Try putting 300 chimpanzees in an airplane and flying them across the country – pandemonium. Let's tell better stories, focus on the positive human traits and minimize harm and the violent, dangerous elements of human nature.

There is a trial going on for a young woman unal!ving her baby. These cults attract vulnerable young women, and it often involves men who want sex with several women, and find biblical stories that support their teachings. Sickening and scary. Thank you ladies for discussing this subject.

In a way, this reminds me of the movie “Frailty”. Man is convinced he can see demons masquerading as people. I saw it ages ago. Never thought it would play out (somewhat) IRL.
