  1. Prof. Vaknin,
Do people with the traits that you discuss attend your sessions/functions on various personalities abnormalities? And if so can you scan the room for them? Just asking. Thanking you in Advance …

  2. I would be interested to know if the numbers of pathological narcissism are higher in countries that are chronically at war? I would think there's a higher rate of "dead" mothers, living through war and passing the trauma on.

  3. Sam could you discuss how a narcissist cannot love or attach to their own children? Or direct me, if you have already talked on this? Many thanks. Fabulous talk, covers everything pertaining to my 18 years of hell. I identify with the constantly changing from mother to child status, shared fantasy, hot and cold treatment. I feel like i understand it a lot more.

  4. Dear Professor Vaknin,

Perhaps not the best venue to communicate this, but I haven’t any other means to express my gratitude and admiration for the clarity and precision with which you relay your stances on geopolitics and economy. Considering that I am of Macedonian origin and seriously considering returning to my homeland after a 30-year absence – I awaited your guest appearance on Vasko Eftov’s podcast with great anticipation and fervour; let me say that it is an absolute shame that it ended when it did – because you were about to touch on the subject matter I am most consumed with at present: Macedonia and its position in this geopolitical, some may say, civilizational tug-of-war. I am very disappointed, but at least you gained a suitable subject/candidate for your continued research on Narcissism at the end of that monologue masquerading as an interview. My best wishes, V

  5. Prof. Vaknin, this seperation, this „push the child away“ – How old are the kids in this stage? And what if the separation fails, could we make in unhappen, if we allow to seperate later with 5 or 6 years? Does failed seperation means the mother NEVER allowed or only in this case between 2-3 years? I have so many questions.

  6. I am about to study counseling
and I often wonder and would respect your opinion about whether you ever consider that these people are the great cause (like a live virus of sorts) of mental health crises and unwellness to society as a whole.
Also- I am hopeful and wish for awareness education for young people so that they can work to avoid these personalities.
Your work is so valued and needed. Thank you.

  7. In the USA, psychopathy runs not only in politics but across all sectors and industries. These individuals lie, hide, and have stronger support to prevent them from being held accountable. The world is in a constant battle to stay safe and healthy from these insidious psychopathy. When do you think the two texts will combine and widely accepted to be used?

  8. Dear Prof. Sam Vaknin, I look at your work for a while and I began to ask myself, if I am a narcissist, even though I do not do all the things you talk of, I'm having too much understanding for this way of thinking, being. I have been in a relationship with borderline woman with high narcissism score, bipolar, borderline, anorexic woman and a psychopatic woman and I can't help attracting these people to my life – I am sometimes extremist, I enjoy the life with many colours, I would hate life without a little adventure, except the bad parts of these relationships. I'm not neurotypical, by a psychiatrist – I'm having a little more borderline and hystrionic features than others, but not so deep for that to be a disorder. But there has to be more!

My question is, where do I find a true professional like you are to exam me on this diagnose?
Do you have a video to answer me this somehow clearer?

  9. Sam, could you please write a step by step book for clinicians who work with victims of narcissistic abuse. I haven’t found any books that compare to the information in your videos regarding recovery ( 9 principles for a path to healing, stages of trauma). I understand that talk therapy and trauma therapy are used but they aren’t effective with all clients. Personally, trauma therapy did not work for me, it stunted my recovery in my opinion.
