18:55 badger when he sees any problem
I think the voice actor for Calgar is the same for Captain Davian Thule in Dawn of war 2.
Come on Colin you can use the Chainsword for fight the Aspiring Champions in close combat and for movement even in hard (im yet to play it on exterminatus)
17:10 yup, game was developed in REDACTED, also known as mordor
Lotr conquest but make it fantasy/AoS
27:00 a correction was made on that. They updated the story so it doesn’t say Calgar anymore it’s just “Voice” and update notes say it’s not supposed to be Calgar. So yes Titus is literally blessed by the Emperor basically
I enjoyed a return to the old fomat, but i dont mind the livestreams of roasting Colin
You guys provided some interesting and good points about the games you brought up. Regarding Darktide, I think you right that it can get stale after a while. Though I wonder, do you think GW has affected fatshark’s ability to expand the game or is there not as much effort/resources being put into darktide as compared to vermintide?
As far as Assault as a class, the only complaint I have is that dealing with Zoranthropes and Neurothropes can be a nightmare, and I think we should have some way to tackle them or something. But past that, Assault is a glass cannon and should be played like one.
Total War Warhammer 3 shows that you can use Slaanesh in video games. It's ridiculous that it is the only game that does so.
My favorite so far has been Mechanicus. The customization from the first game makes me hopeful that Mechanicus 2 where the Necrons will be playable.
so quick tl;dr
Number one is totalwarhammer is not only carrying fantasy but also CA, space marine 2 was an actual game that wasn't a dumpster fire and sigmar games are going to be a very hard sell
so I'm going to work backwards here as someone who did play realms of ruin and it fixed alot of the micro spam dawn of war 2 had (I still play the elite mod for DoW2 and if you see a high level rts game its the hypiest shit ever) it sold so bad that the developer stated they will never make another rts and production wise they busted their ass off from the cutscenes graphics and while people might have been turned off with the rock paper scissors gameplay when you get into the nitty gritty it was really fucking good. Honestly fuck another soulsbourne game give me god of war or ninja gaiden go full power fantasy bloody goodness. It would 100% work better than another souls clone. Age of sigmar, while being a really good tabletop check out heywoah on that front, it still has a massive problem selling.
I am a former battered destiny housewife I was there when d1 was released to a 6/10 on ign and there are a buncha massive d2 ytubers going in space marine 2. Mynameisbyf is making 40k lore and that man carried destiny's story on his back since the beginning. I would cry tears of joy if cammycakes or hynacanfly got into sm2's multiplayer. I went flawless every weekend sometimes with friends but more often than not solo. After the final shape I am done with destiny space marine 2 in recent years is an actual finished game, you can look at any of the tide games, total warhammer 3 or any western game that has came out in the last 4 years. The fact that SM2 is a finished game that isn't a liveservice and isn't asking me to wait 2 plus years to be playable is a massive win for saber and the road map really shows what is coming in the near future. It does have alot of balancing problems once you go deeper into it like tanner lindburgh tears every perk apart and melee is significantly underpowered (I'm not saying it isn't fun but when I get the majority of kills on ruthless and I can barely break 10k damage but I switch to tac, heavy or even the worst perk tree in the game vanguard and consistently do 30k damage there is no reason to use melee.) Melee in pvp is also really bad especially comparing it to SM1 as you can just roll away and melt the dumbass who wanted to melee you.
Finally the newest total war game legit sold less than thrones of bretonia CA struggled for years because kinda like telltale they couldn't really innovate on the historical rts market. You look at any other CA game than total warhammer and it is barely breaking even. I would much rather have a 40k total war as supposedly CA is making a new engine, its a safer bet as in my previous statement age of sigmar does not sell well even with high production.
Ripper swarm mission is fine only when ur playing with friends cos the bots were sooo bad
a souls-like as a stormcast eternal would be could, and the dying and reviving is part of how that faction works
We need a 40k command and conquer type game
A mode where we play as the guard would be cool.
Sm2’s gameplay loop manages to make it an 8/10 despite its lack of content making it more deserving of a 6/10.
It obv released unfinished, but I think Saber made the right call to spend their time polishing that loop instead of releasing more content that barely works.
I think we’re gna see a dichotomy between very critical 40k diehards that wanted more, and very high-praising 40k greenhorns that don’t know this setting that’s pushing like half a century of lore. Whichever audience provides the most money will shape the content we get.
Personal experience ive only played campaign /pvp never touched pve. Started running it with buddies who have done the same as me really depends how you played it i guess. But all valid points 👍
Total War better not f up their adaptation.
Get that word out! PvP needs love! I wanna squad up with more than 2 of my borathurs and ranked matchmaking so I don't face against three max level guys against my under level 10 teammates including myself
People give the first space marine game way to much credit. It was fun but it's the worlds most average 3rd person shooter.
And maintaining your armor is stupid easy. You dont even need to be good at it. You get half a bar of armor back everytime you parry a small enemy. I dont mean a parry with the indicator. If you parry ANY of their attacks you get half armor. You would have to be hellen Keller to lose all your armor to anything that isnt a major enemy.
No its not. Have you guys not been paying attention. The more popular something gets, the more ADVERTISERS jump in (and restrict EVERYTHING) as well as the rotten degenerate types starting to make cartoons of emperor and slaanesh, gulliman and Eldar. You think its funny but thats just the opening salvo's of the evil queer army that want nothing more than to tear apart everything you love. They really are low Iq warp creatures when you get right down to it. Stop allowing small incursions into the awesome grimdark that is 40k. Shut the queers down instantly, dont give them a word. Our elders were right, give and inch, they'll take a mile, over and over again.
I still enjoy Rouge Trader.
Personaly I really want a Republic Commando Tau Operative game. A team made up of a Tau, Human, Kroot and maybe Vespid doing sneaky, sly operations. Of course with multiplayer campaign and PvE.
Maybe the first big DLC can be Imperial Guard. After that, who knows, the Aspect Warriors seem to be made for this type of game, Genestealers, Necrons, Votan, Sisters, the only limit is your imagination.
Listen the next Warhammer video game should be a cooking with emperor game it would be sick
40k total war could very well kill creative assembly if they released in the same awful state that they did TWW3 that took more than a year just to clean up (before they shat their pants again with Shadows of Change and the Sega Layoffs started).
They can not afford ANOTHER shitty launch even if instead of 40k, they tried playing it safer/familiar with an AoS Total war or another historical attempt
If only they would optimize the game graphics more, it puts your gpu to sleep while your cpu is being forced to wear the pain glove.
This discussion got me thinking, it probably won't do well but i would love a Life and suffering of sir brante style choice based game as a genestealer cultist, you can see your cult rise or fall and the true ending is the star children arriving to bless you and the game ends right as the people return to normal before getting devoured
Andy looks like Hal from Temu
I like the nids and orks but I want to fight elder and necrons or hell even non aligned chaos. Also thank you, Colin for getting me into Rogue Trader, way better then I expected it to be.
Colin how is the bed
