If I only knew in the late 80s what I know now ( thanks to Prof. Sam Vaknin), I could move faster in life, while back then I had to listen only to my intuition and Fromm, and baptized all narcissists Oedipus complex for males ( Antigone's complex for females ) .

I appreciate the fact that he links narcissism to schizophrenia. My husband is the narcissist and older brother with schizophrenia. Only academic to make that connection which is important to me for understanding it all.

No…they are lifeless

So when "a person" knows they lie to yoo, manipulate you, twist your reality conciously and they know it will hurt you and then they admit that and say the purpose of it it's because to get an attention/reaction from you..is that more related to NPD, BPD or ASPD characteristics ?

Professor Vaknin does not have a PhD, nor is a narcissist. I have kind of conflicting views on him but I think that he has not been transparent and in the community, there has not been any discussion on some of the inconsistencies that exist with his background and how he presents himself there is a film called i, psychopath, that I know is on YouTube possibly under another name. But a simple search should yield the results- and a simple conclusion from the movie is that Vaknin is a diagnosed psychopath and does not have a legitimate PhD. You can also see him use his manipulation tactics against the filmmaker who I believe was very traumatized from his experience trying to document the process of diagnosing Vaknin. I think one can argue that he has helped the community, and the argument also could be made that he has hurt the community. However I think people should know more about who he really is, and to see what I feel is a legitimately objective attempt to document who Vaknin is. The only other content you will ever find out there is content that he has created or where he is featured as the expert. So nobody has really had the opportunity to question him. However this film does call certain things into question and I think that everybody should see it before they heed Vaknin's advice.

I relate to everything. This is about my partners finding a narcissistic doctor. Including my partner, who is a Covert Narcissistics bad decisions many. Renewing his drivers license department of transportation in Ontario are not specifically designed to provide proof of doctor care with test deep tests to approve renewals of drivers licenses.

I'm very interested in that concept that the narcissist sees you as a motherly figure at first. I've had an on and off friendship with a female narcissist. We first met at university, she's a year younger than myself. After many years of not seeing one another she arrived in my town and rented a room from me (and yes, it was difficult to get any rent from her, she borrowed money from me, but she had parcels coming in every day with expensive clothes and cosmetics). She was also extremely charming at first, we had so much in common, she was everything I ever wanted in a friend, usual story. Anyway, shortly after moving in, she called me "mum" – it was an obvious slip of the tongue. I was quite shocked, we're the same age, and there was nothing in our relationship, to me at least, that could justify that. No one really considers me a particularly motherly figure anyway. I don't have children, I'm the youngest in my family and I have been usually happy to follow someone else's lead. I've met people much younger than me who somehow have an aura of being older than me, because they're kind of more put together.

In my experience they do lie! They lie to get rid of feeling shame.
But then they shame for the lie, so they gonna create a psychotic worldview. Usually they only lie the first time, at the second time they believe it's true.
The longest time span from lie to truth I observed was around 9 days. But that was a crazy hardcore lie. Usually it takes just a few seconds or minutes.
Fun fact: After the 9th day she immediately started to suck everyone into her new "reality".

Wow!!! I just heard what I knew internally, or my experience with a borderline for 12yrs. I felt like a object, like my qualities didn't matter or register with her. I use to say to myself " its like she is dead, but living ". Sex became just a act , void, empty with no satisfaction. I feel like I eventually objectified her, cause it certainly wasn't her personality or character that I loved.

Malignant narcissists/Dark Triad are the most dangerous on the NPD spectrum. They are sadistic and they conspire, premediate, and plan out their excution against you. Weeks and months ahead of time. The malignant narcissist's characteristics is fluid and can easily cross over to psychopathy. Can manifest as as the Golden Child or from from abuse or both.
