This is a type of mineral known as calaverite. This type of mineral may be misdiagnosed with its sulfide types. The difference between these two is that they are sulfates, while the sulfide type does not contain sulfates.
Sometimes iron sulfate and copper sulfate may be misdiagnosed because they have similar colors.

  1. I have tons and tons of this at my mine in the southwest United States. I can crush it but extraction is difficult. I can't figure out a proper flux for the sulfites and oxides. Should have taken chemistry

  3. I do have access. I have several samples that I know have gold or platinum but I don’t know how to extract it. If you would be willing to teach me I’d be super grateful.
