Its not dead for existing miner or for dos who bought two months ago but fo dos hu is planning to buy now, its dead, dont buy, earning reduced by 50% yet the machine price still remains almost the same,
BTC saw this multiple times. 2018, 2022, and even now in 2024 it is nearing unprofitability for most. It does not mean the end, just a lull in momentum. When the price swings up or down these things happen. Fundamentals and core value will triumph all in the end.
At the rate this is going not even your electricity cost is gonna help you.

It feels like going for BTC mining with a good hosting deal is basically the best way to mine right now. You can find hosting price up to 0.05$/kW/h (asia) and if you can get hands on x21 pro hydro you are guaranteed to ROI unlike with kaspa and alephium. These smaller coins are all about if youre early enough i think, lots of people made fortune on KAS but unless iceriver/bitmain releases a unit that hashes at 40-50 TH/s which will cost like 20-30 grand its not gonna cut it. Getting a loan for multiple bitcoin miners seems as a reasonable move right now with how bitcoin will rise in the future which is basically guaranteed. With kaspa sure we will see higher price appreciation but there is that extra uncertainty.

@RM Kaspa mining will 100% be for major farms by mid to end of next year 2025, and Kaspa mining rewards is even worst than you think, even they its like an halving every year it’s actually worst because reducing the rewards monthly also reduces the overall yearly Kaspa emission by 11.2% more than if they did a normal halving every 12 months vs 5.6% reduction each month.

It's a price issue. Kaspa is way undervalued compared to the hashrate on the network. This coin needs to be 25 cents plus in order to keep up.
