  1. I've seen the elegance line (which they're not sending to the U.S. anymore) online and I like how it looks way better, the sport model looks way too flamboyant and overdesigned imo.

  2. Maybe someone (Doug included) can explain the purpose of the smaller engines if the fuel consumption per mile is basically the same – makes zero sense when a V8 & V6 have more smoothness – what is really gained???

  3. these companies give out touchscreens that aren't even that responsive to use and difficult to use in Direct sunlight. Plus the issue of keeping them clean and oily fingerprints. It is better to give Physical buttons. We can then appreciate the craftmanship and the attention to detail of car's interiors. Giving just random unresponsive huge bezel screens does not make any sense.

  4. What if your phone is hooked up to the car and your wife is in the passenger seat. She can go through your phone and you canโ€™t see while sheโ€™s doing it

  5. I have a 2014 E250 (it can go a 1000 miles with a tank of diesel), and I really appreciate the old fashioned buttons and levers. I've driven cars with all the controls on the screen, and I find them very distracting. With mine, I can reach down and move the temp level up or down without looking away from the road. Or I can just turn the volume knob. With these new cars, your attention is forced on the screen rather than your surroundings. On Teslas, you can't even adjust the vents without going to the screen.

  6. If only that gastly screen smashed onto the dash , such a pitty !
Just look at a 280SE dash of the 60s……..
What was wrong with that ?
I am sorry , but I just love classic analoge dials , a car is NOT a smartphone .๐Ÿคฎ
