Sounds like some gun shop owners need to get up to speed on current gun laws..
I can confirm that and 18 year old can not purchase a handgun in SC. We went to academy the week the was passed and found out. My son was wanting a Glock 48 and I had to purchase in and gift it to him has his father
I use a Safariland retention holster for my Canik Mete SFT. Keeps me in control of it and no one else.
Not good but everyone has the right Iam former law enforcement and never had too use my weapon but with that new law no one is safe and my quote of the day is…. A gun is only as smart as the user.
Great video Bill, this is Randy from Waldensian Bakery
thanks for your quick and precise comments between conceal and [risky] open carry…the holster is as important as the firearm
Careful men.
I think if I saw a guy open carry I might get spontaneously pregnant.
Question if a person is 18 can they buy and own a pistol and concealed carry under this new law
Does this apply to non-residents as well? For example, if someone who is not a SC resident and can legally own a gun, can they carry in the state of SC? I keep seeing conflicting information on this. I've seen it worded as "if you are legally allowed to have a gun, you can carry." It doesn't say "SC residents who are legally allowed to have a gun…"
Thanks for commenting on this.
Good video Sir. Learned a lot. Subscribed
Thank you.
For my part when it comes to firearms and sidearms in particular, I believe that you get what you pay for. So, I do pay the going rate. I don't cheap out on quality; i.e. revolvers one brand for me. Smith&Wesson. When it comes to semi autos, it's a matter of personal preference. I like 1911s for the house 🏠 or in the car 🚗. I also like HK.
Great info, thanks!!
Ok I have a concealed carry in sc, but let's be honest here we have alot of real dumbass people in this state who never should be anywhere near a firearm much less be allowed to care one. I feel this is going to be a nightmare for my state.
I believe you said 29 or 39 other states that have the open carry law does that mean that we can carry a gun in their state without having I carry permit could you give me those states that permit this?
how about in Greenville at river park where i walk my goats and im from Ga and have a permit from Ga / dont really need to carry there as it has always been a great city to visit without any concerns of safety
Thanks from GA. I'm gonna keep my Concealed Carry License though.
Interesting info 👍
There's a third reason to still get a SC CWP. You still cannot carry on school grounds but having a SC CWP allows you to carry within a school zone without violating Federal law. That can be very important to at least some of us. I know I can't walk my dog without being in a school zone
Im glad S.C. has passed open carry. I believe you should take a training course just to be safe with your handgun of choice.
18 yo are not allowed to purchase handguns but can be gifted them and are allowed to now carry
The craziest thing to me in the United States Of America we have double standards 18 years old and you are taught in our military how to kill with whatever tool is necessary but you can't buy a firearm at 18 something needs to change I'm 65 years old our law makers need to make a lot of changes.
Is it really constitutional Carey or just a way to punish people to the extreme? So God forbid you have to defend yourself with force and you don’t have a carry permit are you going to be charged with a crime and extra time and if you do have a permit you will not get charged at all? If you commit a crime without a permit you will get extra time but if you do have one you won’t get more than 2 years or something along those lines. Real and true constitutional carry is when anyone who can pass a background check in any state can buy weapons and every state has to abide by that.
I didn’t know SC had reciprocity with other states my understanding is they only honor residents
I understand that thete is a difference in the penalty in the event that you have to use your firearm in self defense and kill someone, and its proven in court that it was not self defense. You get a substantially heavier penalty if you DO NOT have a CWP.
I am a gun owner and believe In the 2nd ammendment, but permitless carry is stupid and dangerous
No carry in churches? Hopefully that is changed quickly!
I agree with most of your information , the issue about 18 yr old's purchasing handgun being 18 in future in SC that's a Federal Law not a state law, churches can give permission expressed permission just as any other private owner business. You still need a background check to purchase a firearm w/o a permit unless it's a private sale.
Stupid is as stupid does. Let's unleash thousands of untrained morons into the streets carrying loaded firearms. A well-regulated militia? I think not. God help us.
