Copper Mine In Rajasthan News Live | Many Trapped As Lift Collapsed In Rajasthan |News18 Live | N18L
At least fifteen people, including members of a Vigilance team from Kolkata and senior officials of the Khetri Copper Corporation, are feared to be trapped in Hindustan Copper Limited’s Kolihan mine in Rajasthan’s Neem Ka Thana district after a vertical lift carrying them collapsed on Tuesday.
Praveen Nayak, Superintendent of Police of Neem ka Thana district, said that a rescue team has reached the trapped personnel and some of them could be injured.
Efforts are on to bring out the personnel who are stuck at a depth of several hundred metres at the Kolihan mine, the police said.
Nine ambulances are on standby outside the mine and prepared for any emergency. Meanwhile, food and medical packages are being transported to those who are trapped in the mine.
