Windows 11’s Moment 5 update – new phone image notifications feature (KB5034848)

One of the new features coming in the Moment 5 update for Windows 11 23H2 and 22H2 (KB5034848 + KB5035349 – OS build 22631.3235 and 22621.3235) is an updated phone image editing experience. In this update, you’ll notice that the Phone Link settings page has become Mobile devices and has a new section at the top.

This lets you use a new Cross Device Experience Host app to link your phone to Windows for more basic, but useful, functionality. In Moment 5, one feature is available – a new instant phone photo editing experience, which shows a notification on your PC when you take a picture or screenshot so you can quickly edit it in Snipping Tool.
