Nurpur. Taking major action against the mining mafia, Noorpur District Police has seized three JCBs and two tippers. In Majra under police station Damtal, police have seized a JCB and a tipper under the Illegal Mining Act. Similarly, two JCBs and a tipper have been seized in Kandwal. So far, a total of 124 challans have been issued under the Mining Act this year alone. The police keeps cracking down on illegal miners from time to time, but still somewhere the mafia is still involved in this work.
