In this talk, we are going to take a look at Nutanix HCI as a technology but from the perspective of Hybrid Cloud. We argue that modern HCI solutions should no longer be treated just as Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, but rather as an enabler of Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure. Looking at the evolution of data center infrastructure from the early days of batch processing on mainframe computers to utility cloud-based computing, we notice clear trends and patterns that make Hybrid Cloud relevant today. In this context, our talk will focus on the Why, What, and How of Cisco & Nutanix HCI partnership.
