Back to School 6/6 | John Arrasjid and Stan Markov: A VCDX Perspective on AI and Quantum Computing

VCDX and architectural design – past, present and future
Session from November 2, 2023

Join John (VCDX #1) and Stan (VCDX #74) for a laid-back chat about the world of VMware design, where we’ll cover everything from the history of the VCDX program to the latest in AI.

We’ll start off with a look back at how the VCDX program began and how it’s evolved over time, touching on the journey from admin roles to more complex architect positions. John and Stan will share their own experiences and the main challenges they’ve faced along the way.

The talk will also cover why the VCDX thinking is very important, even as we see more shifts towards cloud computing and new technologies like Private AI. We’ll get into how these changes are shaping the way we think about architecture and design, especially with the introduction of AI, Quantum Computing, and other emerging technologies. Looking forward, we’ll discuss what AI-assisted design might look like and the potential it has to change our field.

This session is a chance to hear from two seasoned pros in the field and get a better understanding of where architectural design is headed. Whether you’re new to the field or have been around for a while, there’s something here for everyone.
