How to Install Linux Mint for Beginners (bootable USB)
This video is for people who are interested in trying out Linux for the first time. Linux mint is known as the easiest version of Linux to get started with, and I figured it would be best to show how to install this version. I chose to go with the live bootable USB option, so that the viewer would not have to buy another internal drive, or delete their Windows Partition.
For the installation you need your own Windows Computer, an internet connection, and a USB drive that is at least 64GB in size.
For this video I specifically used Rufus to flash the ISO file because it has an option to keep persistence, which allows you to save files to the USB.
The entire process should take 30 minutes, but maybe more or less depending on Internet speed.
A like would be appreciated, as I had to reinstall Windows for this project on my laptop. All I had was a Hard-drive I salvaged from a PS3 and it took me two days to get Windows up and running on it. I had a few BSODs, but I was soon able to get Windows reinstalled for my laptop to test my video. I even managed to debloat it, and it now runs pretty smooth for being installed on an old PS3 Hard-drive. The weird audio for the first half was due to my capture not capturing the audio correctly, so I had to set up my headset to where I could listen to myself.
Any questions you have, you can post in the comments, and I’ll try to answer them if I get the chance. π
