Linux has many advantages over Windows, but when you’re using hardware designed first and foremost for Windows, it can be hard to get all of the functionality you’re expecting from your laptop when you switch to the open source OS. Power management issues, NVIDIA issues, sleep stuff, driver quirks, NVIDIA issues, etc.
