Phase 4 Lab 2: Configuring S2S Connection – Azure to UK On-Premises
Join us for Phase 4 Lab 2 of our project implementation program, where we’ll guide you through the process of configuring a Site-to-Site (S2S) connection between Azure and our UK On-Premises infrastructure. In previous phases, we laid the foundation by configuring Tecknosap’s UK On-Premises infrastructure and setting up the Azure hub and spokes with network peering. Now, we’ll take the crucial step of establishing seamless communication between our on-premises and Azure environments.
Steps:
Step 1: Azure Virtual Network Setup
Create a Virtual Network (VNet) in Azure.
Configure the VNet with the necessary address spaces and subnets.
Step 2: Azure Virtual Network Gateway
Set up a Virtual Network Gateway in Azure.
Configure the gateway to ensure secure communication.
Step 3: Local Network Gateway Configuration
Create a Local Network Gateway in Azure.
Define the settings for representing your UK On-Premises network.
Step 4: On-Premises Infrastructure Preparation
Ensure the proper configuration of your UK On-Premises infrastructure, including hardware and software components.
Confirm the readiness of the VMware Workstation Pro virtual machine (VM).
Step 5: Remote Access Configuration
Configure remote access settings for both Azure and your on-premises infrastructure to establish secure connectivity.
Step 6: Testing the S2S Connection
Utilize Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) to connect from your on-premises setup to an Azure Virtual Machine (VM).
Verify successful communication and data transfer between the two environments.
Lab Outcome:
Upon completion of this lab, you will have established a secure Site-to-Site (S2S) connection, enabling seamless and secure communication between your UK On-Premises infrastructure and Azure cloud services.
Please note that specific configurations may vary based on your unique environment and requirements. For more detailed guidance, consult Azure documentation and leverage support resources.
