MySQL Binlog – Row-Based or Statement-Based?



The mysql binlog records all of the changes to a MySQL database.
To check whether your MySQL replication is using the row-based or statement-based logging formats, check the value of the mysql binlog variable.

Check the value of the variable named “binlog_format.” An ordinary mysql binlog location is the /var/lib/mysql directory.
