  1. But if you're buying top of the line processor you're probably gaming at 4k and will be bottlenecked by the GPU. So saving some money on the processor doesn't seem like a bad idea. If you're not into competitive shooters that is ๐Ÿ™‚ Nice review though, looking forward to more overclocking shenanigans

  2. The 9800X3D is 12% faster than the 7800X3D in gaming but fixes the weakness of the last gen X3D parts. Productivity. The 9800X3D has a TWENTY percent better single thread score than the 783D when overclocked and the 983D overclocks better than every other modern CPU. It clocks to 5.6-5.7Ghz and runs at 5.2 stock. The 983D is 18-30% (!!!) faster than the 783D in productivity, blender was extremely impressive and is even faster than the 9700X

  3. i had that happen without upgrading my cpu. I have a 7800x3d. I figured out it was the ram training. Sometimes it literally takes like 10 minutes but then it runs fine. i have a x670e taichi and strix 4090oc also

  4. I bought a 14900k and an intel motherboard like 6 months ago ๐Ÿ™ I was waiting for a GPU upgrade, now I feel kinda sad, I wish I knew about this release … I would've waited

  5. 24 years later AMD brings stable, reliable, full-power, 5 GHz +, meanwhile on Intel 5.0 GHz was possible in 2013 using extreme OC, and decades later they are unable able to make it a reality. How the mighty have fallen.

  6. Concerning the black screen at boot, I have that problem too… I don't know if would help, but I have to turn on the screen first and waiting monitor logo to appear before turning on the system itself.

  7. I have the 5800X3D and I have the -30-curve set on it. Runs great. I even undervolted it slightly as well. I get to see the cores stay closer to the 4.4ghz in all-core situations than it did with stock settings since the CPU is obviously running cooler with the -30 curve and undervolt. Too bad they didn't have the 9800 designs in this, I think it could be a good overlocker, or at least the chip I have could be.
