Wow! I put a full cues groupset on my loaner hardtail from about 15 years ago, the spare bike. It was a 3x setup. I used a 9 speed 11-46t cassette, cues crankset, the u6000-rd (with the clutch), and the 9 speed shifter. Crazy good for the money (thx aliexpress) and its super easy for new riders. If this clutched setup came on new budget mountain bikes it would make a lot of new riders happy.
I have 8S MTB is the cues U6000 RD works for me?
So the Deore M5100 SGS RD is the same size as the Cues U6000 GS RD?
CUES will be great, the transition and inter-compatibility seems confusing but in the long run its a good move
which one is the better cues u6000 or deore m5100
When are you gonna cover Cues brakeset? Curious as to how it would perform if it is available.
Can I use Non Cues Sprocket on them? And With Lower teeth sprockets like roadbike sprockets ?
Wahh… made in Indonesia… Proud!!
Excellent source of info! Thanks for the video!
Can I use my Deore m5100 with 11v cues cassette and chain?
Hello cordially. Should I choose a bike that uses mostly Deore or should I choose a bike that uses the CEUS model? Durability and speed are important to me.
Hello cordially, so I understand that the Cues 6000 is however as good as the Deore 6100 ?
Sir, pls test cues drivetrain with grx shifter 😊
Can i use cues rd and shifter with different casset and crank?
just learned my XT shifter won't be compatible with the new U8000 derailleur I ordered. It turns out that there are 2 different 11-speed XT shifters, the M8100 and M8130. The M8100 is not a linkglide shifter, the M8130 IS linkglide. So I ended up ordering a new shifter an hour ago. This has now become VERY expensive for me and it's really annoying. Hopefully I can sell my hodgepodge groupset of an 11-speed SLX derailleur, XT Shifter and Deore 5100 Cassette for atleast $100 so I can make back a little of what I'm spending on switching over to Cues.
Cues u4000 or deore m4100 ?
Can I use 36-26 2x Deore crankset with 1×10 cues 43t? because on spec sheet, it says that 39t will be the max for 2x.
So 105 11speed will take the new 11 speed clues cassette as i understand it?
At 8:55 You say that all CUES cassettes will work with the same derailleur. This is wrong! There are three different types of the 10 speed derailleur from the U6000 series: RD-U6000, RD-U6020 and RD-U6050 (Di2), and each of them require a specific size of the LG-400 cassette.
Great Vid bro, What would you prefer, Cues or Deore?
Hello. Great video. Am researching information i kind of following your information in the video. I have a question could you help please. I have a 10 speed deore cassette m4100 and a 10 speed deore rear derailleur m6000. Am thinking of buying the cues u6000 10 speed shifter. What do think will the cues shifter match fine together? I would like to hear your advice on this. Thank you
👍
It sure cleans up the clutter. I like it, also the 2 way shifter, taking from XT to put in a Deore level set is awesome, as well as smart. Yet what will be next up? I am sure they will also start chopping and changing in the higher range sets. As for looks, well, I like it it looks awesome and modern. But I also know for sure a lot of people want a chrome version. So they have one thing to add, chrome versions.
WIll the CUES allow me to upgrade my Claris 2/8 speed to a 11 speed?
I still chose Deore M5100 due to its much cheaper and parts is more available. Thanks for more detailed about cues and I did not regret choosing M5100 on it.
can i use the u4000 rd only for the 9s setup?
I hope You review LG components cause I believe that's BS it's not backwards compatible with previous drivetrains. eg SLX M7100 RD IMHO would perfectly work with CUES 11-50 and Cues 11spd shifter. Not sure about their 11 speed shifters though like m8000. I hope You check it someday.
So i cant use use the shimano cues crank with other components unless its same speed and link glide compatible?
@LoveMTB do you know if 8100 pulleys will work on a 5100 derailleur?
Before we had 4 lower end component classes, now we have one. We have less to chose on? And I should be happy about it?
Thanks for your video 👍…. I have a shimano XT M8000 drivetrain (11 speed – 11-46t SGS )… may I change the cassete for the new Cues 11-50t? is this compatible?… thanks in advance!
will the u6000 11 speed shifter work with the m5100 rd? I have a deore rd and i plan on using a u6000 11s shifter to utilize the i-spec 2 clamping in my bl-m6000 deore brakes. Hoping someone would be able to answer! 😊
At every iteration I move closer to SRAM.
can we use a non cues crank?
Not happy about loosing 3s rapidfire which was standard before in deore.
Still prepared Deore M5100 than Cues after i watching this. Would you mind to make a review on Cues cassette if not being loose after a few weeks ride? we are all want to see this Thank you.
Just go micro shift
Cues sucks at speed guys.. i have u4000 groupset .. i compare my cues and alivio… heck alivio way faster.. sigh i regret buyin it. I heard cues really good at trailing. Backpacking somthing
This CUES stuff looks really good. Completely makes sense to me to get rid of all those subpar versions and bring out a single good one. Before you wouldn't want to go below Deore, now it looks like it's fine.
I just wish they made a 12 speed version of cues but I guess that would limit the cross compatibility of the components especially on 12 speed where the chain is very specific.
This vid and the previous vid are the best vids I've seen on CUES and Linkglide. A question for Love or anyone else who might know: is the RD-M130-GS derailleur that goes with the Deore 10s M5130 Linkglide system of better quality or higher spec than the derailleurs that go with the CUES drivetrains?
Have you actually tried shifting Cues bits with Deore bits and they don't work? Or is it just on paper compatibility? Especially when they list similar cassettes and chainrings.I've got a commuter which runs 5100 at the moment with a Microshift 11s Shimano MTB thumbie. I would bet it won't have any issues shifting a Cues RD, indexed, without any adjustment from 5100.
rather than designing stuff for everything from 7-12 speeds, why dont we just move on and realise than anything less than 10 speeds isnt really all that beneficial. just make cassettes and derailleurs for 10 speed and up. then make 3 tiers of shifting performance. deore, xt and xtr… why do they need to make it so complicated? stick budget bikes with bomb proof deore, because we all know these bikes will be neglected anyways. then the mid tier of bikes gets xt a bomb proof but more refined version and finally race bikes get xtr. Shimano, youre welcome!
If they added tension adjuster it's almost 100% road shifters are coming in the future. Next year will be very interesting.
Looks like this cheap trash is going to be hitting the lower spec bikes. Non compatible with already existing groupsets because they want you to spend more money and upgrade the whole thing and not just a derailleur.
Deore: Hyperglide
CUES: Linkglide.
Could you test 12s shifter? this should work
