12 rescued from Colorado gold mine tourist site where elevator mishap killed 1 person



Authorities say 12 people have been rescued after being trapped for hours at the bottom of a former Colorado gold mine when an elevator malfunctioned at the tourist site. The elevator was descending into the Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine near the town of Cripple Creek when it had a mechanical problem around 500 feet beneath the surface. One person died in the accident

  1. Oh no big deal, one innocent person dead, but hey accidents happen when operating this kind of equipment. 😮 So were the tourist aware they could possibly die if they chose to go down this mine in an elevator? He sounded so nonchalent about it all. Shocking attitude.
